I have been coming to Sarasota as a frequent visitor for the past 15 years or so. I was immediately struck by the lush, tropical beauty of the area (as well as the conspicuous lack of snow!) Now that I am retired, it has become my permanent home. I live on the southern end of Siesta Key, with a great view of Little Sarasota Bay. Armed with the recent completion of a photography course, I feel empowered to capture this natural beauty through my camera lens.
In addition to photographing Sarasota’s Keys, I enjoy prowling through the city itself with my trusty Nikon D40. I especially love the city’s charming neighborhoods, such as Burns Court and Laurel Park. There’s always a pleasant surprise around every corner.
Suggestions for subjects to photograph are always welcome. As a newbie, there is a lot for me to discover.
Thanks for joining me!
